2025 Benches Appeal

Members will be aware that OxPA has spent the last 5 years chasing up the installation of 14 new benches with the City Council with money from a legacy we received.

Having overcome many hurdles with much support from ward councillors and local groups, we now have a final hurdle to overcome - over the 5 years the prices have risen a lot, although we can pay the higher prices; however we have a shortfall of £4,820 because the VAT was not added to the final price, and we only recently became aware of it, and we do need to pay it. Now that we know how much it is we are making an appeal to members to please help if you can!

Update, 5 February: Thank you for all your generous support! We are pleased to say that we now need only £1,000 to reach our target for the benches - ideally by the end of this week. We hope to update you with good news at our AGM on Tuesday 25 February.
